"Calling Dr. Turf" is a series of training videos developed by the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Team detailing a variety of best management practices (BMPs) in lawn care for homeowners that ultimately provides a great looking, healthy turfgrass.By utilizing these BMPs the homeowner gains a healthy lawn and soil, and protects themselves, others, and the environment by employing simple, science-based management programs.
“Don’t Waste Water” brings the Turf Doctor before a homeowner needing instruction on how to properly utilize irrigation on a lawn by employing a variety of Best Management Practices including choosing the best grass for the situation and climate, the general steps in healthy lawn management strategies, and how to utilize and maintain an irrigation system.
