"Calling Dr. Turf" is a series of training videos developed by the Virginia Tech Turfgrass Team detailing a variety of best management practices (BMPs) in lawn care for homeowners that ultimately provides a great looking, healthy turfgrass.By utilizing these BMPs the homeowner gains a healthy lawn and soil, and protects themselves, others, and the environment by employing simple, science-based management programs.
In “PPE and Me”the Turf Doctors explain the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), where to find it on the label of a pesticide, and how the concept of PPE applies even to something as basic as mowing the lawn when it comes to protecting yourself, others and the environment.For safety, it’s all about the PPE.
