By utilizing these BMPs the homeowner gains a healthy lawn and soil, and protects themselves, others, and the environment by employing simple, science-based management programs.
“Lost in the Weeds” part 1 finds the Turf Doctor detailing the principles of weed identification, their life cycle, and weed control concepts such as mechanical, preventative, and curative approaches.The Turf Doctor further explains how managing a healthy lawn through proper mowing and fertility programs and the use of soil tests is far more important in controlling weeds than any use of pesticides.
