Cattle (beef and dairy) farmers produce crops (esp., pasture and hay) that can benefit from fertilizing with biosolids, but the farmers may not understand the risks to their livestock from using such byproducts. Farmers and extension educators will understand the risks to dairy and beef cattle from the land application of biosolids that will help them to decide if the municipal byproduct is a good investment.
