Peanut farmers are paid for the crop marketed and not what they grow. The two critical steps in peanut production and the buying point are harvesting and curing. To maximize profits, a peanut farmer must preserve quality and reduce losses as much as possible through these two steps. This publication outlines some critical issues to pay attention to preserve quality of the peanuts.
