Flaxseed has been establishing its reputation as a functional food. Flaxseed and its components may help fight against heart disease. This article focused cholesterol-lowering effect of flaxseed and its mechanisms by reviewing recent research articles. Content discussed in this article can be used by VCE agents and the general public for their better understanding of flaxseed.
