This handout covered key food safety best practices for packinghouses; specific to tree fruit packinghouse operations. Best practices include recommendations to minimize fruit damage at harvest, optimize disease management programs, don't harvest damaged fruit, and keep decayed fruit off the line. Additionally the handout describes reminders that tree fruit packinghouses might consider to comply with the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.
